The Potty Dance
This commercial is hilarious...and very relevant to where we are with our littlest. I think he needs to learn this dance so that he will quit wetting on everything.

This is a really good movie...
you should watch it again.

I made my boys watch it with me. They didn't want to, but when it was over they said, "That was a pretty good movie!" Surprising that their mother has good taste...

Inspired Polaroids
I love how since the announcement that Polaroid is discontinuing their instant film, photographers everywhere have been taking up the cause and shooting gorgeous compositions and posting them on blogs, websites and flickr groups.
This is probably my favorite photo of Nicole's from A Little Sussy so far. I'm not sure why, unless it's they way the lighting makes her look like an angel..and the little flecks of pink...

And here's one of the coolest videos I've ever seen. Made entirely with Polaroids and stop motion.
It's amazing how not taking something for granted causes a rise in creative imagination. I'll have to remember that the next time I need a little inspiration.

Sea Orchestra
Like most of you, I'm sure, my little family stayed up last night to watch the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Olympics. The kids marveled (and so did we) at the Chinese performers, but some of my favorite parts were the commercials. It was like the Super Bowl! Only, I didn't think the Super Bowl had very good commercials this year, so, they were better than the Super Bowl! This was one of my favorites:

Lake Tanganyika at Home
Seth set up a brand new aquarium recently. Now we have a 75 gallon saltwater marine tank and a 110 gallon freshwater tank (pictured below.) The newest one will be focused completely on the waters of Lake Tanganyika in Africa. Lake Tanganyika is an unusual freshwater lake, housing many marine style creatures and fish that are only found in that location. If you're interested in underwater life, this is a great video! (Make sure you watch all the parts!)

Someone sent me this lovely link. The baby and I sat mesmerized. Go take a little breather and click here.

Into the Wild

Have you seen it? I loved it. A much better movie than No Country for Old Men. I think I missed something with that one (which I also saw this week.) I just don't get how it won best picture. But Into the Wild? It could have won...if only it had been nominated!

A movie escape

We took the kids to see The Spiderwick Chronicles yesterday. We really needed to get out of the house. The movie was good (Kaleb had read all the books -so proud of him.) But by the time we got home, Elijah had a fever again. Will we ever get well? The light I thought I saw at the end of the tunnel is beginning to dim. Darn this flu!
