Eco Font

There is a new print friendly typeface in town.


Here’s the backstory: Most printer cartridges end up in landfills. The more ink we use, the more garbage we create. So Spranq designed a font that uses 20 percent less ink by simply removing as much of each letter as possible, while still leaving it readable. Basically, the whizzes got rid of the line that connects the dots to create the characters.
As if it weren't cool already, it's free to download. So, my font loving friends, enjoy and be green.

I've been looking for a reading chair for my bedroom. It has to be pretty small, I want it to be very modern and comfortable. Oh, and I need to be able to afford it.

Sneak Peek

Here's a picture of the necklace I just finished for a commission. I think it turned out pretty well! It's a 14KT gold tree on a sterling background and a sterling nest with six 14KT gold eggs, on two strands of gold-fill chain.

I Feel Like a Number

I spent all morning in the Department of Human Services. Not my idea of a great morning. I can completely identify with Melanie Favreau who makes these "I feel like a number" necklaces, which I ran across on Design Crush a couple days ago. My sentiments exactly.
