I put another new pair in the shop. I got a few opinions about the background color, but I'm still not sure, because with warmer metals the light background seems to work best and with cooler metals the darker background... I want my pictures to be somewhat consistent, but at the moment I'm feeling overwhelmed. For this one, I just did both. What do you think?

I think both backgrounds are fine. Sometimes we tend to over analyze ourselves to death, but I think your jewelry speaks for itself! Looks good either way!
Thanks...I guess I am too good at over analyzing!
I like the white background the best. Maybe because I like the photo better. You should take the exact same photo with the two background to see which you prefer.
I think the white shows better detail and the black shows better contrast. A mix of the two, depending on the piece, wouldn't look bad or inconsistent.
I think both look great, but i agree with vailmama about each background's effect to the jewelry
The angle of the earrings in the white background is better and the black gives a warmer feel, but if all of your pictures are that color nothing will stand out. Varying the background is more interesting to me a buyer, but not too much contrast. That helps alot, huh. You could use one for your main photo and for the listing photos use a variety of background. Go with what you feel best about.
