Kaleb found this little lady hanging on her web in the garden today. He was able to see her alarming red underside before he ran in to tell me he had found a black widow.

I grabbed my camera to get a good shot, but was too scared to turn her over after she jumped off the web. A lovely portrait of her menacing patent black top will just have to do.
