New Hair Do?

I have been debating over the last few months whether or not to cut my hair. I just feel like it's time for a new 'do, but I've been scared to take the leap. I've gone really short before and I've had the mid-length thing too. It's been really long for about five years...so, I guess it's time to make a change. I can't tell you how much I've agonized about this decision, people say it will always grow back, but my fear tells me that it could be only a wive's tale and once it's cut it'll just be gone taking with it all my womanly power. But while vanity tells me I'll be just like Samson, a reality check says to go for it, there's nothing to lose (other than a few locks.) So now the question is how far to go? Seth is trying to get me to shear it all off again, but the idea of growing it out from zero freaks me out. I tried on some hair-dos from one of those make-over sites, but nothing thrilled me. You can take a look, though, at my red-head look, my blonde look or my blue-eyes with bangs look. What a riot!

But seriously, I've saved this picture from Anthro for a while thinking that something like this might work (but brown of course) or a Keira Knightly-esque bob (minus the annoying pout.) What do you guys think?

Oooo, I know what you mean. I have long hair and if I cut more than 2 inches I feel bald. I am really attached to my hair and jsut don't feel right if it isn't longish! I did do bangs about a year ago and love them. I wish I could do short hair, but I can't (bad bob experience in the 8th grade)...I am sure whatever look you choose you will look precious! Good luck!

Do it! I love the shortest one. (BTW - who is this other Courtney on here?! I'm sure she is totally awesome b/c she has such a great name. When I see her comments I think, "Did I write that?")

Nooooooooooooooooooo! What if you cut it off and then you become a Barbie doll while you are sleeping at night and then it will never grow again?!

P.S. You look just like Maggie Gyllenhall in your blonde makeover pic.

I've been debating cutting it ALL off super-super-short too. But I don't think I have the courage. I think the short Anthro cutout would be cute on you!

With short hair you look like a prettier version of Adam. --Mom
I will love it any way you cut it! You're always beautiful.

those hair pics cracked me up!

yes, indeed you should cut your hair! golly gee, get it cut, especially if you've been thinking about it for so long. ;) coming from someone who's had every hair length too, its super fun to have a different look- you feel fresh, inspired, renewed. you don't have to committ to a really short cut, because you can always get it cut shorter. start off cutting it to a length you feel comfortable with, and then cutting it shorter won't feel so drastic.
its all about personal taste, but pleasing the hubby is a good thing too. ;)
yeah! i have some fab-o european hair mags if you want to hang one night and look through. ;) girl night!!

Oh, I agonize over hair styles too! Mine was getting really long but I've had 2-3 inches cut off the last couple of times and lots more layers so now it's just below my shoulders. My hair is naturally wavy (kind of looks like your's is too?) so it's nice having it a little shorter and having the extra body. It will be fun to see what you do!

I say cut it. It is just hair. It will grow back. I actually just got back from the salon today and LOVE my new short cut. I know that it can be nerve racking... Go for it!
By the way, is your shirt okay? I feel bad for "snagging" it the other night! :O(

Ams, it's just a shirt! Don't worry about it;)
