I Feel Like a Number

I spent all morning in the Department of Human Services. Not my idea of a great morning. I can completely identify with Melanie Favreau who makes these "I feel like a number" necklaces, which I ran across on Design Crush a couple days ago. My sentiments exactly.

My camera is broken!

I don't know what to do. The lens won't retract and it's making a funny noise. It won't take pictures either. I'm so sad I could cry.

A movie escape

We took the kids to see The Spiderwick Chronicles yesterday. We really needed to get out of the house. The movie was good (Kaleb had read all the books -so proud of him.) But by the time we got home, Elijah had a fever again. Will we ever get well? The light I thought I saw at the end of the tunnel is beginning to dim. Darn this flu!

That is one thing I can not seem to check off of my list. Elijah was home last week from school with the awful cold that I had, now Emet has got it. Seth says he feels bad and I definitely feel another cold coming on. On top of that, we had to pick Kaleb up from school early today because he threw up. Wha????
I really want my family to be well this holiday!!

Overcast Day

Today my kids are having a play-date with a friend, and I really need to clean the bathrooms. I think I am in a funk because it is so overcast outside. I just feel that I can't see straight when there isn't proper lighting. I don't FEEL like cleaning - but I can't live in this mess either. O.k..... I'm just going to DO IT!
(P.S. The picture is from a previous play-date when it was beautifully sunny and the house was already clean. I wish it looked like that today! sigh...)
