One of my projects this week was to recover some cushions for the nursery rocking chair. Originally I had planned on just buying new pillows, but money runs out fast and it is SO much cheaper to buy the fabric and just do it yourself. Plus, I got to pick out a pricier fabric that I really wanted in a large bold pattern. (Tiny rooms look better with larger designs, don't you think?) It only took a yard because I used a fabric made for upholstery inner lining on the backs, which was only $5 per yard. The lady at the textile store tried to talk me out of using it, but how could she have known my love for using unconventional fabrics? I wish I could have shown her these side chairs...
Anyway, I think the cushions turned out nice. It was my first time tufting with hand covered buttons, too. Very fun, and very rewarding.
