Happy Birthday Emet!
Today he turns 3! I can't believe time has gone by so fast. We celebrated with "his Noa" (as he refers to his BFF) and today we are going to the McDonald's playground with family. I certainly relish these early birthdays, 'cause toddlers are so easy to please!

Walden Artisan Market
East Nashville's monthly market is being held again this upcoming weekend on Eastland Ave. This time, though, it will go 2 days, 9am-5pm Saturday the 24th and 10am-3pm on Sunday.
Saturday is my birthday, so I'll be having my "Happy Birthday to me" sale at the market! It's a good time to get your Valentine a special gift!

Hope to see you there!

My Masterpiece
I am so thrilled with this necklace. It took a long time to finish, because there were so many parts, but when I finally got it done, I was so glad I attempted it. Find it for sale here.

Baby, It's Cold Outside
Schools were canceled to day. Not because of ice. Not because of snow. Not even because of the threat of ice or snow, but because it's cold. O.k. wow. I didn't see that coming. But the kids are thankfully giddy, which makes it fun. Crazy...but fun.

Things I'm liking...
My birthday is coming up and I decided to browse the Internet for things I like. To tell the truth I could get nothing this year and be absolutely fine. I'm just not feeling the Birthday giddiness. But friends and family have asked what my eye was on, and this is what I could come up with:
I still don't have a calendar for 2009.

I would love to relax with something like this.

Oh, how I need a new camera! (I'd actually rather have something like this.)

I've had my eye on Gilbea's hand painted silk scarves for a while.

I adore these earrings and if I had them I'd wear them all the time.

Eco Font
There is a new print friendly typeface in town.

Here’s the backstory: Most printer cartridges end up in landfills. The more ink we use, the more garbage we create. So Spranq designed a font that uses 20 percent less ink by simply removing as much of each letter as possible, while still leaving it readable. Basically, the whizzes got rid of the line that connects the dots to create the characters.
As if it weren't cool already, it's free to download. So, my font loving friends, enjoy and be green.

Lace
I've started a new series (the first of which I've added to my shop.) inspired by the doilies that I cut into snowflakes this Christmas.

January Sales
Every year when I make my Christmas list, I forget how the January sales will beckon me to buy something I didn't know I wanted because it's so cheap! I just bought these two pairs of pants for some change and it didn't hurt at all. (Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!)

I'm back...
And I'm sorry, sorry, sorry! If I still have any readers at all, I have to apologize for the lack of posts. I had several all lined up for you over Christmas, but my computer broke. I'm borrowing my mom's laptop, so I don't have any of the pictures that I was going to show you! I just uploaded these new ones onto her computer though, and I added them to my shop. Hopefully more to come this week...
